I am 35 years old, and a born and bred local to Tauranga. I was married on 28th January 2012 and it was a day more special than we could have imagined. I LOVE being a part of people’s wedding ceremonies. To me it is the ultimate honour, to officiate one of the most significant commitments that can be made and celebrate with people on one of the happiest days of their lives.
I received my marriage celebrant’s licence as a part of gaining my pastoral credentials in 2008 and officiated several family marriages before extending celebrant services to the world at large – including couples such as yourself. This does not mean you have to have prayers or scripture in your wedding ceremony, but if this is important to you, I can certainly oblige. I spend my “work week” being Mum to Evelyn (3) and Patrick (1), and working part time as an accounting contractor to local businesses. In my spare time I like to enjoy a good coffee, go for a run, read a book, watch a good TV series, do some gardening, explore a new recipe in the kitchen and go on adventures with my little family.
I have a strong background in event management and have been very hands on in planning my own wedding so I can appreciate all that you are considering in planning your special day. Public speaking has been a BIG part of my life – from officiating weddings, facilitating funerals, taking part in baby dedications, MCing and speaking at church services and presenting at business meetings – so you can be assured that your celebrant will be relaxed, calm and professional (even though you may be feeling nervous!)
